At JS Elevator Limited, safety and compliance come first. Every lift we design, install, or maintain fully meets UK regulatory standards. We follow strict processes to make sure our work is not only safe and reliable, but also inclusive and future-proof.
All lift machinery supplied by JS Elevator Limited is designed, manufactured, and installed in accordance with the Supply of Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008. We ensure that all lifts and their safety components meet the essential health and safety requirements, are CE marked, and are accompanied by a Declaration of Conformity.
Comprehensive technical documentation is maintained for each product, and regular risk assessments are conducted to ensure ongoing compliance.
JS Elevator Limited strictly adheres to the Lifts Regulations 2016, which govern the design, installation, and conformity assessment of lifts within the UK. We ensure that all lifts put into service are subject to conformity assessment procedures, including involvement of a Notified Body where required. Each lift installation is provided with the appropriate Declaration of Conformity and is marked accordingly, and we retain all relevant documentation as mandated by the regulations.
In line with Building Regulations Part M, which addresses access to and use of buildings, JS Elevator Limited ensures that all lift installations facilitate inclusive access for all users, including those with disabilities. Our lifts are specified and installed to provide adequate car size, control panel accessibility, and visual and audible signals, supporting the objective of making buildings accessible and usable for everyone.
JS Elevator Limited is committed to continuous compliance with all applicable legislation and best practices. Our team receives regular training on regulatory updates and accessibility standards, and we actively engage with industry bodies to ensure our processes remain at the forefront of regulatory compliance. All documentation is reviewed and updated as necessary to reflect changes in law or industry standards.
